Implementation Specialist
Implementation Specialist
Location: Remote (Australia New Zealand) Heavy travel to customer sites
Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO
This isn't a support role. It's a transformation role.
You'll be the person who helps construction businesses fundamentally change how they run their
projects. Not from behind a screen. In their offices, on their sites, standing next to the people who
build things for a living, showing them a better way to work.
Deep Space is the operating system for mid-sized commercialbuilders across Australia and New
Zealand. One connected platform that replaces the duct-taped mess of spreadsheets, disconnected
tools, and manual processes that slow construction teams down. From tender through to final
claim, everything in one place.
We're a small, fast-moving team building something that genuinely matters to the people who use it.
Our customers are hands-on builders running real projects. They expect the same energy from us.
And when we get it right, they love us for it. That's not an accident. Earning customer love is what
drives everything we do.
What the role actually looks like
You own customer go-lives end to end. That means you're embedded with commercial builders. In
their offices, walking their sites, working across their project managers, commercial managers, and
leadership teams. Turning a powerful platform into the way they run their business.
You'll be across the full platform:
Preconstr-uction Procurement Commercial- Delivery Correspondence Document & Drawing
Control HSEQ Reporting
No two weeks look the same. Different builders, different cities, different challenges. You might be
configuring a budget register with a commercial manager on Monday, running site training on
Wednesday, and feeding product insights directly to our engineering team on Friday. What you
learn in the field shapes what we build.
Day to day, you'll be:
• Running end-to-end implementations from kickoffthrough go-live and beyond
• Working on-site with construction teams to map their workflows into Deep Space
• Translating messy, real-world processes into something simple, structured, and scalable
• Training project teams, commercial teams, and site teams until the platform is second
nature
• Asking "why" constantly. Why does the customer do it this way? Why doesn't this work
better? Why haven't we fixed this yet?
• Feeding gaps, blockers, and opportunities straight back to product and engineering. Your
voice carries weight here
• Travelling regularly. Different sites, different states, different cities. If you're energised by
variety and thrive when no two days look the same, this will be the best role you've had
• Building genuine relationships with customers who rely on you as their trusted expert
Who this role is for
You love construction. Not as a concept. You genuinely understand the industry, the people, the
pressure, and the pace. You're just as comfortable on a site in hi-vis as you are presenting to a
boardroom of directors.
You live for that moment when a team finally "gets it" and you know you were the reason it clicked.
That's the buzz. That's what keeps you coming back.
You're a self-learner. Not the "I'll get around to it" kind. The kind who has already taught
themselves new platforms, watched the tutorials, read the docs, broken things, and figured it out
before anyone asked you to. You don't wait for a training session. You don't need someone to walk
you through it step by step. You learn by doing, you learn fast, and you bring that same energy to
every new customer, every new module, every new challenge.
You pick up new systems quickly and you don't need things explained twice. You take initiative
without being asked. You don't wait for a playbook to exist. You figure things out, build as you go,
and raise your hand when something needs fixing.
You already use AI tools daily. Not experimenting. Actually using them to work smarter and move
faster. That's the baseline here.
What you bring
• Real experience in construction, construction technology, or software implementation in a
related industry
• The ability to walk into a room of sceptical builders and earn their trust within an hour
• A natural curiosity that makes you question assumptions and dig into the "why"
behind how things work
• Deep comfort with SaaS platforms. You learn tools quickly and can teach others
without dumbing things down
• Strong communication skills across every level, from site foremen to managing directors
• A genuine love of travel and variety. This role takes you across Australia and New
Zealand
• The confidence to take extreme ownership of your work. You don't pass the buck, you
don't wait for instructions, and you don't need someone checking over your shoulder
• Experience with or a strong appetite for AI tools, automation, and finding smarter ways
to work
What you won't find here
Layers of approval. Internal politics. Slow decision-making. Job descriptions that never
change. A manager who micromanages your calendar.
We're a small team that punches well above our weight. We do more with less. Speed,
efficiency, and ruthless prioritisation are our competitive advantages. Everyone here wears
multiple hats, ships fast, and iterates quickly. We can do anything, but not everything, so we
make sharp calls about what matters most.
Everyone here has real ownership and sees the direct impact of their work. If you need hand-
holding through ambiguity, this isn't the place. If you want to be close to the product, close to
the customer, and close to the decisions that shape the company, it is.
What we value
We're not a company that sticks values on a wall and forgets about them. These are the things
we actually hold each other to:
Earn Customer Love. Deep Space should be the tool our customers love the most. We earn
that with every interaction, every detail, and every customer problem we solve.
Ask Why. Deeply understand customer problems. Question assumptions. We expect that
others will ask "why" so we back up decisions with clear reasoning.
Extreme Ownership. We can all drive outcomes and enact change. We take responsibility, step
out of our comfort zone, overcome obstacles, and do the hard work to deliver results.
Do More With Less. Speed, efficiency, and ruthless prioritisation are our competitive
advantages. We ship and iterate quickly while wearing multiple hats.
Bring The Right Energy. Energy is contagious. We aim to electrify everyone around us with
positivity and passion. We lead by example. No job is beneath us. We succeed as a team.
Be A Good Human. We want to work with high integrity teammates. Be kind, humble, honest,
ethical, and trustworthy. Act with empathy and choose "right" over "easy".
Why this role is different
You're not joining a 500-person company where you're a number on a team. You're joining
early. Ground floor of a construction technology platform that's going directly at the incumbents
in the ANZ market. That's exciting if you're the kind of person who'd rather build something
than maintain something.
Your feedback doesn't go through three layers of product management. It goes straight to the
people building the software. The problems you find on-site on Tuesday get discussed with
engineering on Wednesday. That loop is real and it's fast.
Deep Space is expanding across the entire project lifecycle and building Kai, our native AI
project intelligence, directly into the platform. You'll have a front-row seat to where
construction technology is heading, and a genuine hand in shaping it.
If you've ever been frustrated working somewhere that doesn't listen to the people closest to the
customer, this is the opposite of that.
How we hire
We hire slowly and deliberately. Most of our roles have a "show me" component. We want to see
how you think and move, not just what's on your CV.

If you know someone who'd be a great fit, we'd love an introduction.
