Seven Hills High School is one of two government schools that has been selected to deliver on the 2019 election commitment and initiative to support vocational education for young people to build skills and get into a trade. The project will deliver a specialist skills training facility with teaching and practical spaces for the delivery of the following classes: - Electrotechnology - Plumbing - Health Services - Supply Chain (Logistics) The current design includes; - Provision of 2 theory spaces (2GLS) which will primarily be utilised for undertaking the theory component of all courses. Typically this makes up around 20-30% of course time. - A Business services centre (comprising of 2 further GLS) which will primarily be utilised to provide ancillary courses in areas such as financial, business and retail services and information and digital technology. These courses provide complimentary study opportunities for students undertaking the core VET/trade courses. - Provision of a large multipurpose workshop for undertaking the practical training in plumbing, electrotechnology and supply chain (logistics) VET courses. - A Clinical room which is utilised to provide the practical training requirements of the health services courses. No upgrades to Core Facilities are included in the project
